New to CrossFit Risio? Start here!

  • Step 1: No Sweat Intro

    This is where all new members will begin! Even if you have done CrossFit before and are just looking for a new gym, we still want to meet you! You’ll come into the gym to meet one of the coaches, see the space, and discuss your current fitness level, goals, and how we can help you become a fitter and stronger version of yourself. If you are brand new to CrossFit, your No-Sweat Intro is where we talk about fundamentals; see step two :)

  • Step 2: CrossFit Fundamentals

    For those who have never done CrossFit before, we require 4 one-on-one fundamental training sessions with a coach where you’ll learn the basics of CrossFit. Taking the time to learn first before diving head first into the group classes is paramount to your success in the gym. The four sessions are broken down as follows:

    1. Squatting and pressing with a barbell

    2. Gymnastics/bodyweight strength and skill

    3. Deadlifting/hip based movement

    4. Olympic weightlifting technique

  • Step 3: Start Taking Classes

    Once you’ve completed your 4 fundamental sessions, you’re officially ready to begin classes with us! We’ll make sure you’re signed up on ZenPlanner and have downloaded SugarWOD so you can view each day’s programming ahead of time, log your results, and virtually high-five your classmates.
